Remember those big blue Facebook Share button? Send button is more like a cross between that and traditional email-this-to-a-friend button. Send button is for private sharing, Like button is for public sharing.</p><p>Unlike the old Share button, Send button allows you to share links with not only your Facebook friends, but you can also share it with Facebook Groups or even send the link across like an email to your friends. Think of it like Facebook’s first baby step towards killing emails to gain the complete dominance over the web.</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/04/07/send-emails-to-the-future-with-time-machiner/' rel='bookmark' title='Send Emails to the Future with Time Machiner'>Send Emails to the Future with Time Machiner</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2010/11/18/facebook-takes-a-dig-at-google-with-facebook-com/' rel='bookmark' title='Facebook takes a dig at Google with @Facebook.com'>Facebook takes a dig at Google with @Facebook.com</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2007/10/01/facebook-working-on-friends-grouping-feature/' rel='bookmark' title='Facebook Working on Friends Grouping Feature'>Facebook Working on Friends Grouping Feature</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/26/facebook-send-button-to-help-you-share-links-with-groups-or-emails/">Facebook Send Button to Help You Share Links with Groups or Emails</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. What it really does is, virtualize one Wireless Adapter as many separate adapters. Well, for an average Joe, such a feature would be insignificant; but quite frankly, this feature has a lot of prospect.</p><p>One such <a href="http://www.ghacks.net/2009/10/31/create-wireless-hotspots-with-connectify-and-windows-7/#comment-911013">potential was tapped</a> by a Philadelphia developer to make <a href="http://connectify.me/">Connectify</a> &#8211; a free beta application which uses Virtual WiFi in Windows 7 to share your internet connection with other computers over WiFi. In a nutshell, your computer’s wireless adapter is turned into software-based Wireless router, which shows up as a WPA2 encrypted wireless hotspot for other computers. <img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-left: auto; border-left-width: 0px; margin-right: auto" title="connectify" border="0" alt="connectify" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/connectify_thumb.jpg" width="351" height="313" /></p><p>You can participate in the beta by registering on <a href="http://connectify.me/">Connectify homepage</a>. It runs on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 only. Setting it up is fairly simple:</p><p>· Select the Internet connection you wish to share</p><p>· Choose a name for your new wireless network</p><p>· Choose a wireless passphrase</p><p>· Press the Internet Sharing button to turn on your wireless network</p><p>· Now, from your other devices, you can see your wireless network. Choose to join it, and enter the wireless passphrase to connect.</p><p>Connectify reminds me of <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2008/04/03/turn-your-phone-into-a-wifi-hotspot-with-joikuspot-light/">JoikuSpot Light for Symbian devices</a>, which does the same thing of sharing internet connection (3G or GPRS) using the phone’s wireless adapter. JoikuSpot Light eventually turned out to be a commercial product, but a free version is still available. Connectify is expected to have a similar fate.</p><p>(<b>Update</b>: Android users try out <a href="http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/">Android WiFi Tether</a>)</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/04/03/turn-your-phone-into-a-wifi-hotspot-with-joikuspot-light/' rel='bookmark' title='Turn Your Phone Into a WiFi HotSpot with JoikuSpot Light'>Turn Your Phone Into a WiFi HotSpot with JoikuSpot Light</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2006/08/17/free-wifi-in-googles-hometown/' rel='bookmark' title='Free WiFi in Google&#8217;s Hometown'>Free WiFi in Google&#8217;s Hometown</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/01/12/xtra-windows-stability-makes-windows-more-stable/' rel='bookmark' title='Xtra Windows Stability Makes Windows More Stable'>Xtra Windows Stability Makes Windows More Stable</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2009/11/02/share-your-internet-connection-over-wifi-using-windows-7-and-connectify/">Share Your Internet Connection Over WiFi using Windows 7 and Connectify</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. For instance, sharing a video on YouTube with friends online, and watching a YouTube video with friends next to you are two different things, the latter being more interactive and fun. <a href="http://6rounds.com">6rounds.com</a> is all about bridging that gap using video conferencing. It’s about socializing with friends or strangers on the web, but with all the humanly feelings involved and regardless of their geographical location.</p><p align="center"><a href="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/videoexperienceyoutube.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px" title="Video Experience - YouTube" border="0" alt="Video Experience - YouTube" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/videoexperienceyoutube-thumb.jpg" width="400" height="223" /></a></p><p>6rounds.com is a collaborative platform for YouTube, Facebook, Games and more. You can browse Facebook profiles together, watch videos on YouTube, share music tastes or even play Backgammon with friends. Watch the video demonstration of 6rounds.com:</p><p align="center"><object width="400" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tNckiu0S4GA&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tNckiu0S4GA&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p><p>Since it’s a new start-up, their user-base is pretty small, but nevertheless it’s a great platform for collaboratively having fun with friends or strangers.
