And Nokia was quick to respond by promising a fix scheduled for April 16th. But Nokia seems to have found a fix early and has made the update available ahead of time. The update is currently being rolled out on Zune and it has pretty much dealt with the bug. This goes to show that Nokia is willing to do anything to make the Lumia 900 a hit with the customers. The smartphone has had a <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2012/04/12/lumia-900-sits-firmly-on-top-of-amazons-best-seller-list/">pretty decent run in the U.S</a>, but this bug hampered the sales a little. But Nokia gave the users an option to return it back to the stores in exchange for a new one or wait for the update.</p><p>So if you’re a Lumia 900 user, you will receive the update now and the 4G network should be working just fine. It is commendable how Nokia took up this issue and resolved it within a few days. This should boost the smartphone’s sales a little as both AT&amp;T and the company has nothing going against it now. Have you picked up a Lumia 900? What do you think about the new update? But now, contrasting reports are coming through suggesting otherwise. The Lumia 900 currently tops <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Cell-Phones-Accessories-Service-Plans/zgbs/wireless/2407747011/ref=zg_bs_nav_cps_1_cps">Amazon’s list of best sellers</a>. With the Black and Cyan variants sticking at position 1 and 2 respectively, it seems like the smartphone is doing well in the States after all. Following the Lumia 900 are smartphones like the Motorola Droid 3, HTC Rezound etc.</p><p>It seems like the massive marketing campaign has worked out well for Nokia. Couple that with the fact that the handset is being offered for a great bargain. So it’s basically a steal for the buyers. It is hard to tell if the smartphone will be able to stand up against droids like the HTC One XL when it makes its way to the stores eventually.</p><p><img style="background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;" title="Lumia 900" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Lumia-900.jpg" alt="Lumia 900" width="550" height="450" border="0" /></p><p>The actual sales numbers of the Lumia 900 are not known yet, but it does seem like a good start. AT&amp;T has mentioned that the Lumia has “exceeded” its expectations, but until the numbers are made public, we remain skeptical. As for the internet connection bug on the smartphone, Nokia has mentioned that it was spotted only in a handful of Lumia 900 smartphones and that a fix will be rolled out on Monday (April 16). But if the users can’t wait until then, they can head over to the nearest AT&amp;T store to get it replaced.</p><p>[<a title="Source" href="http://wmpoweruser.com/nokia-lumia-900-still-glued-to-top-of-amazon-best-seller-list-has-more-reviews-than-the-samsung-galaxy-nexus/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Source</a>]</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2012/02/22/nokia-lumia-610-and-lumia-900-tipped-by-sources/' rel='bookmark' title='Nokia Lumia 610 And Lumia 900 Tipped By Sources'>Nokia Lumia 610 And Lumia 900 Tipped By Sources</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/11/14/nokia-lumia-800-and-710-breaks-cover-in-india/' rel='bookmark' title='Nokia Lumia 800 And 710 Breaks Cover In India'>Nokia Lumia 800 And 710 Breaks Cover In India</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2012/02/14/nokia-launching-three-smartphones-along-with-three-new-asha-phones-at-mwc/' rel='bookmark' title='Nokia Launching Three Smartphones Along With Three New Asha Phones At MWC'>Nokia Launching Three Smartphones Along With Three New Asha Phones At MWC</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2012/04/12/lumia-900-sits-firmly-on-top-of-amazons-best-seller-list/">Lumia 900 Sits Firmly On Top Of Amazon&#8217;s Best Seller List</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. Be it the cheesy <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2012/02/14/nokias-valentines-day-message-to-att/">Valentine’s Day greeting for AT&amp;T</a> or the announcement of new smartphones and feature phones in the market, the company is always up for it. And now it seems like the Finnish brand will continue the flow at MWC as well. Reports from a couple of sources suggest that the company could be looking to launch three new smartphones as well as three new Asha Symbian S40 series phones. Earlier in the day, it was reported that three feature phones would break cover but now we have a hint that it’s the Asha series which is Nokia’s new range of feature phones announced last year. Feature phones like the Asha 302, 303 and 202 are said to be ones prepping for an announcement.</p><p>As for the smartphones, we haven’t been able to gather any info yet. Nokia could be holding off the mystery smartphones until the very last minute so as to not give away the surprise. But ever since the Nokia Sea Ray “<a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/06/24/nokia-secretly-unveils-the-first-wp7-handset-codenamed-sea-ray/">incident</a>”, we’re always looking for leaks on the web especially if it’s Nokia. It is believed that a global version of the Lumia 900 will be the key device that will break cover at MWC. Then there’s the relatively unknown Nokia 808 which is said to be a Nokia Belle smartphone with a game changing camera on board. Lastly, the Lumia 610 which apparently will be the company’s way to hit out at the low end segment. We’re not sure if the company will launch any of these devices, but as the days go by our faith in these rumors only grow stronger. It will be interesting to see how things go at the highly awaited annual mobile meet.</p><p>[<a title="Source" href="http://www.phonearena.com/news/Nokia-readying-three-WP-smartphones-three-new-cheap-Asha-S40-phones-for-MWC_id26883" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Source</a>]</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/04/nokia-to-launch-40-new-phones-in-2011-no-wp7-phone-till-2012/' rel='bookmark' title='Nokia to Launch 40 New Phones in 2011; No WP7 phone till 2012'>Nokia to Launch 40 New Phones in 2011; No WP7 phone till 2012</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2009/11/19/nokia-dumping-symbian-as-the-os-for-n-series-phones/' rel='bookmark' title='Nokia Dumping Symbian as the OS for N-Series Phones?'>Nokia Dumping Symbian as the OS for N-Series Phones?</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2007/03/22/zoom-telescope-for-nokia-sony-ericsson-mobile-phones/' rel='bookmark' title='Zoom Telescope for Nokia, Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones'>Zoom Telescope for Nokia, Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2012/02/14/nokia-launching-three-smartphones-along-with-three-new-asha-phones-at-mwc/">Nokia Launching Three Smartphones Along With Three New Asha Phones At MWC</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. But here’s something that takes the cake. Well, Nokia recently struck a long overdue partnership with AT&amp;T to start selling the newly announced Lumia 900 (due in March) in the North American markets. And as a token of appreciation, the company has sent out a rather strange/weird letter addressing the company. It’s kind of like a love letter from Nokia to the carrier.</p><p><img style="background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;" title="Nokia Loves AT&amp;T (2)" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Nokia-Loves-ATT-2.jpg" alt="Nokia Loves AT&amp;T (2)" width="300" height="225" border="0" /></p><p>Well, as cheesy as it sounds, we can see the sense of humor in this. Some even thought that the Lumia 900 would be announced earlier than expected, on Valentine’s Day. But that doesn’t seem to be case with this merely being a publicity stunt by the company. With people’s attention on the said handset now, more users could line up to get the handset. Sadly though, Microsoft has ended pre orders for the Lumia 900 last week. So people might have to wait until it hits stores officially, and pick one up from there. The Lumia 900 is also a 4G capable phone which will run on AT&amp;T’s 4G networks, so that’s something to look forward to as well. And now a report from <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/12/us-mobileusa-att-breakupfee-idUSTRE74B5H220110512">Reuters</a> states that if this merger fails or doesn&#8217;t take place, AT&amp;T could lose about $6 billion in cash and assets. Earlier reports however suggested that AT&amp;T admitted to losing $3 billion as payout to T-Mobile if the merger failed. But new sources have mentioned that AT&amp;T will be liable to pay $2 billion for spectrum allotment and also sign a roaming agreement worth $1 billion(if the merger is not approved).</p><p>We wonder as to why AT&amp;T is offering such a massive amount for the cancellation alone. This could be AT&amp;T&#8217;s confidence in the deal showing here and that has been the general opinion to be honest. Many expect this deal to be completed, so it couldn&#8217;t have been much of a problem for AT&amp;T to agree to pay so much(if the deal was called off). Remember that the proposed merger is worth $39 billion so the total cancellation fee which includes the roaming and spectrum agreement makes up for about 15.4% of the deal which is a big amount of money. So at the end of the day, T-Mobile will be benefited from this deal irrespective of the outcome.</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/24/t-mobile-u-s-to-launch-the-iphone-4/' rel='bookmark' title='T-Mobile U.S to Launch the iPhone 4?'>T-Mobile U.S to Launch the iPhone 4?</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/02/01/microsoft-bids-to-buy-yahoo-for-446-billion/' rel='bookmark' title='Microsoft Bids to Buy Yahoo! for $44.6 Billion'>Microsoft Bids to Buy Yahoo! for $44.6 Billion</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/01/23/apple-ios-appstore-crosses-10-billion-downloads/' rel='bookmark' title='iOS AppStore crosses 10 billion downloads'>iOS AppStore crosses 10 billion downloads</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/05/13/att-is-liable-to-pay-6-billion-to-t-mobile-if-the-merger-is-called-off/">AT&#038;T is Liable to Pay $6 Billion to T-Mobile If the Merger is Called Off</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. Connectivity wise the Infuse 4G will be the first device to feature support for HSPA+ category 14 at 21 Mbps and will also feature HSUPA category 6 when its launch. Both the carriers have now blocked tethering applications found in the Android Market. Apps like PDANet lets you use your device as an internet connection so that you can connect it to laptops and PCs. While some applications found in the Android Market require a rooted device, some of them don&#8217;t necessarily require a rooted device. But now you won&#8217;t be able to find applications like these in the Android Market.</p><p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5443" title="AT&amp;T Verizon Block Tethering Apps" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ATT-Verizon-Block-Tethering-Apps.jpg" alt="AT&amp;T Verizon Block Tethering Apps" width="467" height="311" /></p><p>This has been a major limitation with buying a cellphone on contract, you literally have to play by their rules. Users can still sideload .apks to their device though, which is something that both AT&amp;T and Verizon cannot stop you from doing as of now. The <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/04/verizon-att-block-wireless-tethering-apps/">banning of tethering applications</a> however is a rather worrying issue, considering the fact that Android is an open source platform. But why would major carriers like these let you use it for free when they can charge you a fortune to use the same service on their network?</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/03/30/angry-birds-rio-heading-towards-android-market/' rel='bookmark' title='Angry Birds Rio heading towards Android Market'>Angry Birds Rio heading towards Android Market</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/14/sony-ericsson-gets-its-own-stream-in-the-android-market/' rel='bookmark' title='Sony Ericsson Gets Its Own Stream in the Android Market'>Sony Ericsson Gets Its Own Stream in the Android Market</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/03/20/adobe-flash-player-10-2-up-for-grabs-in-the-android-market/' rel='bookmark' title='Adobe Flash Player 10.2 up for grabs in the Android Market'>Adobe Flash Player 10.2 up for grabs in the Android Market</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/05/01/att-and-verizon-blocking-tethering-apps-from-the-android-market/">AT&#038;T and Verizon Blocking Tethering Apps From the Android Market</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. But how cool would it be if T-Mobile US got the iPhone 4 as well? Well, that seems likely now with a prototype white iPhone 4 being caught running on T-Mobile US&#8217; AWS frequencies. Also to be noted is the model number of the device. Well, this particular device has a model number of N94, as compared to AT&amp;T&#8217;s N90 and Verizon&#8217;s N92. The device is seen running a test version of iOS with apps like Apple Employee Directory and the proximity sensor seen on this device is a bit different than the one expected on the white iPhone 4 launching at the end of this month.</p><p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5156" title="iPhone 4 T-Mobile " src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/iPhone-4-T-Mobile-1.jpg" alt="iPhone 4 T-Mobile" width="229" height="306" /> <img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5155" title="iPhone 4 T-Mobile (1)" src="http://tech-buzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/iPhone-4-T-Mobile.png" alt="iPhone 4 T-Mobile (1)" width="229" height="306" /></p><p>This of course could mean that T-Mobile users can see the iPhone 4 coming to their network soon. But we think the timing of this could&#8217;ve been a tad better. Because by the time the iPhone 4 would reach T-Mo users, the latest iPhone would already be in the market. So that could make this seem a bit dull. But that&#8217;s for them to decide. It is not clear yet whether the tests happened before the merger, well if that&#8217;s the case users will have to wait till the merger is completed.  [<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.bgr.com/2011/04/23/exclusive-apple-testing-iphone-4-for-t-mobile-usa/">Source</a>]</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/21/iphone-responsible-for-50-of-apples-revenue/' rel='bookmark' title='iPhone Responsible for 50&#037; of Apple&#8217;s Revenue'>iPhone Responsible for 50&#37; of Apple&#8217;s Revenue</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/06/korean-sources-claim-that-the-iphone-5-will-be-launched-in-late-june/' rel='bookmark' title='Korean Sources Claim that the iPhone 5 will be Launched in Late June'>Korean Sources Claim that the iPhone 5 will be Launched in Late June</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/03/07/iphone-20-enterprise-ready-sdk-available/' rel='bookmark' title='iPhone 2.0: Enterprise Ready, SDK Available!'>iPhone 2.0: Enterprise Ready, SDK Available!</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/04/24/t-mobile-u-s-to-launch-the-iphone-4/">T-Mobile U.S to Launch the iPhone 4?</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. It could only be a matter of time before Verizon regains the top spot again.</p><p>via <a href="http://www.slashgear.com/att-grabs-1-spot-from-verizon-as-nation%E2%80%99s-largest-carrier-27128902/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed:+slashgear+(SlashGear)">Slashgear</a></p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2011/01/19/apple-likely-to-touch-the-100-million-iphone-sales-mark-this-year/' rel='bookmark' title='Apple likely to sell the 100 millionth iPhone this year'>Apple likely to sell the 100 millionth iPhone this year</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2006/06/03/orkut-imposes-restriction-on-number-of-friends/' rel='bookmark' title='Orkut imposes restriction on number of Friends'>Orkut imposes restriction on number of Friends</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/01/30/1-million-iphones-unlocked-in-2007/' rel='bookmark' title='1 Million iPhones Unlocked in 2007'>1 Million iPhones Unlocked in 2007</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2011/01/28/att-on-top-as-u-s-number-one-carrier/">AT&#038;T on top as U.S’ number one carrier</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>. It’s not all that destructive, doesn’t express negatives about the iPhone, but just targets AT&amp;T’s softness – lack of 3G coverage. That being said, the red heat-map of Verizon’s coverage shown in the commercial looks over exaggerated. Doesn’t look 5X, but looks more like 10x more coverage, which again would be misleading in AT&amp;T’s point of view. What do you think?</p><p>Stories you may like:<ol><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2009/10/18/verizons-droid-does-anti-iphone-advertisement/' rel='bookmark' title='Verizon&rsquo;s &ldquo;Droid Does&rdquo; Anti-iPhone Advertisement'>Verizon&rsquo;s &ldquo;Droid Does&rdquo; Anti-iPhone Advertisement</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2007/03/05/scrubit-the-anti-porn-dns/' rel='bookmark' title='ScrubIT &ndash; The Anti-Porn DNS'>ScrubIT &ndash; The Anti-Porn DNS</a></li><li><a href='http://tech-buzz.net/2008/06/10/wwdc-iphone-3g-with-gps-launches-on-july-11th/' rel='bookmark' title='WWDC: iPhone 3G with GPS Launches on July 11th'>WWDC: iPhone 3G with GPS Launches on July 11th</a></li></ol></p><p>This article, <a href="http://tech-buzz.net/2009/11/09/verizons-new-wave-of-anti-att-advertisements/">Verizon&rsquo;s New Wave of Anti AT&amp;T Advertisements</a>, was published at <a href="http://tech-buzz.net">TechBuzz</a>.
