Android Jelly Bean To Break Cover At Google I/O : Rumor

Jelly Bean

Google is believed to be taking things slow with OS major updates, which is clear given the gap between Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich. And if new rumors are to be believed, we could be looking at the successor of Ice Cream Sandwich in June. Well, there’s no report to prove or disprove the rumor, but all eyes will be on Google I/O which is to be held on June 27th. Ice Cream Sandwich is yet to make an impact in the market with the Galaxy Nexus being the sole ICS smartphone. But that is about to change once OEMs like Sony, Samsung, HTC, LG start rolling out updates for their respective devices.

The Jelly Bean OS or Android 5.0 is believed to bring Chrome OS to the mix. It is said that the new OS will be able to dual boot between Jelly Bean and Chrome OS. Google would love to leverage Android’s success and bring Chrome OS to the limelight, which to be honest hasn’t done quite well. Jelly Bean is also said to bring optimizations for more different sizes of tablets, netbooks and smartphones. All this is merely a speculation of course, so we recommend you to take it with a pinch of salt. But all eyes will be on Google I/O just to make sure.
