Facebook For Windows Phone Updated; Brings Forth A Couple Of Changes

Facebook for Windows Phone has been updated again. The update is finally live in the marketplace and it is said that it improves the overall experience which was despised by the users in the past. People didn’t really take a liking towards the Facebook for Windows Phone app due to the inability to do things compared to its Android or iOS counterparts. The app improvement has been long awaited and it seems like the developers have responded to the bad reviews (2.5 stars out of 5) it has received.
So what’s new with the update? Well, the news feed is slightly faster and more fluid now with the version 2.3 update. Also introduced is the ability to view “likes”, to view/control pages and groups and the addition of banner images. And as you would expect, they have dealt with all the bugs that were eating up the user experience. Though the update might seem long overdue for Windows Phone users, it is enough consolation that something is being done now. Users can expect the update to be available on their respective Windows Phone 7 devices just about now. Does this change the way the app operates on Windows Phones? Probably not, but the update is welcome either way. There’s a lot riding on this update, so no wonder it is being tagged as “significant”.
