The Apple iPhone 4 has been exclusively available on AT&T and much recently on Verizon. But how cool would it be if T-Mobile US got the iPhone 4 as well? Well, that seems likely now with a prototype white iPhone 4 being caught running on T-Mobile US’ AWS frequencies. Also to be noted is the model number of the device. Well, this particular device has a model number of N94, as compared to AT&T’s N90 and Verizon’s N92. The device is seen running a test version of iOS with apps like Apple Employee Directory and the proximity sensor seen on this device is a bit different than the one expected on the white iPhone 4 launching at the end of this month.
This of course could mean that T-Mobile users can see the iPhone 4 coming to their network soon. But we think the timing of this could’ve been a tad better. Because by the time the iPhone 4 would reach T-Mo users, the latest iPhone would already be in the market. So that could make this seem a bit dull. But that’s for them to decide. It is not clear yet whether the tests happened before the merger, well if that’s the case users will have to wait till the merger is completed. [Source]
