Windows 7 has been launched and that is certainly a great news for India. The prices have been slashed, and are approximately 40% lower than the US prices.
The Windows 7 pricing in India is:
Windows 7 Home Basic Edition – Rs. 5,899
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition – Rs. 6,799
Windows 7 Professional Edition – Rs. 11,199
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition – Rs. 11,799
This is a welcome move from Microsoft, as many users will now be able to upgrade to the new Windows 7 at more affordable prices.
