Microsoft Launches Windows 7 – Its Official folks!
Yes you read it right! Microsoft finally launches its most awaited operating system Windows 7.
Microsoft launches Windows 7 on Thursday, as its most important release in more than a decade. After a very disappointing Vista, Microsoft is aiming to win back its customers and strengthen its grip over the PC market.
This significant launch comes 3 years after that of Windows Vista. The new Windows 7 is faster, less cluttered and more improved for its predecessor.
Microsoft is world’s largest software company, powers more than 90 percent of worlds personal computers. Windows 7 has received good reviews during its public testing with the release candidates over the past few months.
Windows 7 is available in 34bit and 64bit editions. Pre-sales on Amazon was at a all time high as Microsoft Windows 7 topped the sales charts. Windows 7 was the top seller in the software category.
Microsoft claims that major problems with Windows has been resolved in its latest operating system; Windows 7, which according to many who tested it have claimed it to be significantly more faster, improved and user friendly over the poor performing predecessor Windows Vista.
Pricing Cheaper than Vista:
Microsoft has prices its full version of Windows 7 Professional at $299 and upgrades are prices at $199. However Windows 7 has been priced at $319, with the upgrade version going at $219. The full version of Windows 7 Home Premium is priced at $199, with an upgrade from Vista or XP Costing $119 – InformationWeek
PC sales are expected to rise over the holiday season, when Windows 7 ships with PCs. It remains to be seen if the PC sales will get a boost due to Windows 7.
