What is Docstock.com?
Docstoc.com was launched at TechCrunch40 by Jason Nazar and Alan Shwartz. Docstoc.com in comparison is smaller than Scribd, but is very much like it. It is a website where you can upload documents and share documents with the world. It is a vast repository of free and commercial professional documents which can be searched, previewed and downloaded.
Docstoc.com is an online community and marketplace where you can search for over 5 million public documents. While many of these documents are free, there are also tons of premium documents available. Docstoc.com allows you to upload your documents and embed them into your website. Docstoc.com with its various APIs and Widgets facilitates the sharing and promotion of documents across the web.

Earlier this year Docstoc came out with a new feature known as DocCash. Docstoc.com is paying users for sharing and promoting your media files such as Adobe Acrobat Reader files (.PDF) Word Files (.DOC and .DOCX), Spreadsheets (.XLS and .XLSX), Presentations (.PPT and .PPTX) and even Text files (.TXT and .RTF).
