Office 2010 Technical Preview Leaks on BitTorrent

About a week back, Microsoft opened up limited registration for the Technical Preview of Office 2010. The Technical Preview is invite only, and due for release in July, but folks on shady side have already leaked the technical preview over BitTorrent. So, those who haven’t applied for the technical preview or those who haven’t been accepted into the program, can head over to this link and download it straight! Check out some of the screenshots:

You don’t really need any hardware upgrade for Office 2010. It runs on any machine which runs Office 2007. They’ve worked on the user interface, and from the screenshots, I must say, it really looks well. Microsoft seems to be having tough time with all these software leaks, but I think it’s doing more good than bad by giving them the much needed publicity.

This only looks good because the 2007 version of office was a steaming pile of you-know-what.

The new interface is still a step down from Office XP, which i will continue to use. The combination of unnecessary interface changes (which alienate established users) with a lack of compelling new capabilities is a strong incentive to continue using the now very old version of office. You would think that Microsoft would have realized that random interface changes hurt their brand rather than help it by now.

I don’t get very well the concept here, so I believe people may disagree with it.
