Nokia N97

Check out the specs, they look really impressive:

This means, you’ll be able to watch streaming videos from sites like YouTube. The customizable home screen enables you to drag and drop widgets. 5MP camera seems to have become a standard thesedays, thanks to Nokia. Here’s a short video demo of N97:

This phone has everything you could ask for! Lack of capacitive touch screen (like the one in iPhone) seems to be only handicap, but the QWERTY keyboard should easily overcome it.

It phone should be publicly available in the first half of 2009 and will be priced approximately around $650.

The lack of a touch screen is no issue to me, as I prefer the full QWERTY keyboard myself. This phone is quite an offering, what else can one expect from Nokia? The competition in this segment is really hotting up, with superior offerings from many manufacturers spurring on the tech race. Love it!

Wow! Now that’s a super mobile phone. It has everything one could possibly need and want in one gadget. I’ll get it as soon as it comes out, I was planning on getting the iPhone 3G this december, but I’ll just wait for the release of the N97 first, and compare everything before making the final decision.

    I just love gadgets. ;-)

$650? It is crazy. I think that one should wait till the early fanatics finish the frenzy and wait for the prices to fall before venturing any where near it.

I’ve been using the iPhone for about six months now and the novelty is starting to wear off, especially the touch keypad for mails and text. The N97 qwerty keyboard looks just the job!

I’ve always been a Nokia fan, but $650 for 1 phone! Sorry, but I’d rather do something else with that money.

Hopefully this phone is the thing of the future. Nokia .. a leader in the mobile segment, did not do much in the touch screen front. Hopefully they price it well and that it would be a bench mark of things to come from Nokia. But can anything really beat IPHONE’s interface and GUI?

@Selbourne Designing, I think there are not really can beat iPhone.
