OtherInbox battles Email Overload
OtherInbox is essentially a webmail service to combat email overload. It works by creating filters and automatically organizing them into folders, so that it can be easy to read and find. How does it work? During signup, you’ll be asked to pick a username, this username is translated into a personal sub-domain domain (@username.otherinbox.com)
You can create unlimited number of email addresses by putting any alias in front of "@username.otherinbox.com". Any email delivered to that alias will be automatically put into a different folder. For example, you can use facebook@username.otherinbox.com in Facebook or tech-buzz@username.otherinbox.com to subscribe our mailing list; they’ll all be delivered and organized in your account without any configuration beforehand.
OtherInbox can import your existing emails, if your provider supports IMAP. I tried importing my emails from Gmail, and it worked, but it imported randomly skipping the timeline. It might be due to the large number of emails which I preserve in my Gmail account.
OtherInbox is currently in private-beta, if you’d like to be a part of their private beta, sign up using this link: http://beta.otherinbox.com/signup/tech-buzz (works for 25 sign-ups only)
