Though I don’t use Myspace, this might encourage me to join because of the OpenIdD. Things are made a but easier with the OpenID, so I am glad it is becoming more recognized.

Indeed it is. MySpace has lost loads of ground to facebook, and adopting services like this is an attempt to claim back their audience.
