I like the sound of speeding up wordpress BUT I think the point raised by Pallab is quite valid and I guess we will just have to wait and see how wordpress implements it…

I have experimented with blogger, word press, and serendipity… and Word Press wins by far…
I have the latest edition.. When you install updates, does it mess with your site design or any links?

Sounds good. But last thing I want to is wpress loading old version of css file while I am tweaking the theme even on refreshing. So will have to see how its implemented.

Speed is of the essence in the online world, and it gets frustrating having to wait for WordPress blogs to load. Google has ID’d a really cool niche, and note how they disassociated their name from Gears so as to make their latest data mining effort not so obvious to the uninformed masses….
