To be honest I did not have too many issues with Vista and those problems that I did have I have managed to solve. I doubt that open source will squeeze them out though.

Windows 3.1, to Windows 95, to windows XP, to now Windows 7…Lets see what all glitches they come up with in this one.

I use Windows XP on my desktop and Windows Vista on my laptop. To be honest, I do not really notice any performance differences between the two. I can’t really see the appeal of the touch interface as there are not many machines which can make the most of it and the ones which do are rather overpriced.

I think I will wait until Windows 7 is determined to be top notch before I buy!

This technology is very similar to the technology used on one of the big computer screens I guess that CNN has. I don’t know if you have seen it, but they make the same motions, etc, and expand photos, and work with programs doing that. So they must be running part of this technology already.

I’d heard so many mixed messages about Vista that I personally stuck with XP. Solid and stable as a rock.

It is fairly obvious that the Vista disaster isn’t being pursued by Microsoft any more. Am afraid that open source is going to squeeze them too hard and that Windows 7 is doomed from the word go….

The video does remind me of the Microsoft surface, and I think even where they demonstrated the map was the same (around San Francisco)(it doesn’t matter that much though in the location). It looks like this new machine will be a wonder in our world of growing technology.
