Themes for Gmail Coming Soon?

If rumors are true, then Gmail users may soon have the option to change themes, just like iGoogle. According to Philepp Lenssen from Google Blogoscoped, one of his sources told him that Gmail will get custom themes. He went on to say, “the launch of this may happen within the next months. There will be 12 themes to pick from, according to this information, like a black-and-green “terminal” view, as well as a flowery view.”

People are already into building themes for Gmail, which run off Greasemonkey or Stylish extension for Firefox (like this one, for instance). It makes perfect sense for Google to come up with themes for Gmail, especially after iGoogle’s incredible growth rate.

I actually opened up my gmail last night and saw a tab "THEME" - so I selected it and it gave me a choice of at least 25 different VERY cool themes. I selected PLANETS and the it applied it and it was AWESOME! It looked so great and so UNBORING. I was instantly happy that I no longer used anything but Gmail..... Of important interest, I went in today to check my mail and the theme was gone. Also in general settings was a new option called THEMES - this is also where you would change your POP/IMAP settings.. It was awesme, but they pulled it back for some reason.

I do not see any link to my e-mail here and I looked for the setting and I do not have the theme's button for the gmail.
I want one and how to get a link or to install it.
