Skype has introduced a mouth-watering unlimited international calling plan for just $9.95 per month. You can make phone calls to over 34 different countries including UK, China, Australia, Korea, Japan and Malaysia (complete list). This means you can call your friends and family living overseas and talk to them as much as you want for just $9.95.
Wait, they have a fine print! Unlimited doesn’t really mean unlimited, but 10,000 minutes per month. I guess that’s well beyond our monthly requirement, so not an issue. There is no contract or anything as such, so you can subscribe as and when you need it. The price is actually $12.95/month, but those who purchase 3 or 12 month subscription before June 1st, 2008, get 33% discount (i.e $9.95).
Skype has been already used to make 1.7 billion minutes of phone calls and 14 billion minutes of computer-to-computer calling in the first three months of this year alone. Those figures just prove how popular Skype has been among computer users!
They’ve already gained fame for their US – Canada $3 unlimited plan, and I’m sure users will love the unlimited overseas plans as well. Unfortunately, my country (India) is not in their list. No luck for me

This is surely for commercial users. For individuals, Skype is already offering free international calls.

Sorry, that is computer to computer only. I missed the bit about land lines. My sincere apologies.
