Back when Gmail was first launched, I was fond of their minimalistic webmail interface. It has been four years now, and the storage has been tripled, but the interface still remains untouched. Some of us are finding Gmail’s look-and-feel to be boring. Fortunately, Evgueni Naverniouk has created a style sheet called Gmail Redesigned, which gives Gmail a dark makeover.
Gmail Redesigned does cosmetic changes to nearly element of Gmail, including the GTalk chat box, and the settings page. Here’s the screenshot of how my Gmail account looks after installing Gmail Redesigned:
To install this style, you’ll first need to have Stylish add-on installed in Firefox. Once that’s done, go to userstyles.org and click on "Load into Stylish" button. That’s it!
Gmail Redesigned would be a killer, if it could work along with Remember The Milk extension. Luckily, the author has plans to implement that in future. [Via: CyberNet]

It only changes the looks and theme of gmail as the interface remains the same …
But neways was really getting bored of the same old looks of gmail maybe Google shud officially attach more styles to gmail same way as we get in yahoo mail to customize the looks of your yahoo inbox.

That’s what I love about the internet. Somebody is bound to come up with something to enhance or pep up existing services and the like. Gmail (and Google for that matter) is rather bland and unappetising in the looks department, so a bit of cosmetic enhancement is definitely welcome!

While I am quite happy with the existing set up this certainly looks to be more interesting. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I’ve installed the add-in and the style and I love the dark design. I think Google should adopt it and give users an option to change the skin.

I will definitely be giving this a try as I do feel that gmail is a bit too plain and boring. Thanks for pointing it out!

I love the way you can pretty much customize everything not so customizable now day. Looks great but I think I will wait for original Google themes. Bit too dark for me too.
