VPS Migration

Due to a sudden burst in traffic on April 9th, our webhost (Lunarpages) temporarily suspended our account. After having tiring, two day long conversation with their support department, our account has finally been unsuspended. Right now, I’m backing up files and databases, so that we can move this site to a new VPS which is capable of handling this site under critical stress. During the migration, this site may be unavailable for some time.

Last week went pretty rough for this site. Sorry for the downtime and thanks for your patience.

I’m glad I forgot to ask about thus on your most recent post of Flickr. I was wondering what happened, but I though tech-buzz would make it back. Now a few days ago your account wasn’t suspended but it looked really weird. It didn’t have a theme type thing. And you say there was a burst in traffic? If that is good then congratulations. Sorry your site was down.

Hmm, I thought your site was already on a vps or dedicated server. Anyways good luck with the shift.

Good for you in going to a virtual private server. Nothing can be so disruptive than your hosting company pulling the plug when your traffic levels exceed their limits. Nothing worse than trying to deal with unresponsive helpdesks, can relate indeed! All the best with the changeover, and may you grow from strength to strength!
