One of the cheapest iPod in the entire line-up of iPods, just got even cheaper. Apple has decided to slash the price of iPod shuffle from $79 to $49, and introduced a new 2GB Shuffle for $69. This makes it one of the most affordable and wearable iPod of all time.

iPod Shuffle Green

The 2GB iPod Shuffle can hold double amount of music, but in the same package as 1GB iPod Shuffle. iPod Shuffle comes in 5 different colors, including the original Silver. This move will probably give other MP3 players a run of their money. Why settle down for an ordinary music player, when you can get an iPod for the same price.

Misfortune of those, who gifted iPod Shuffle on Valentine ’s Day. Reducing the price before V Day would have promised them substantial sales, but not profits ;)

  1. Blimey, $49 is something like £25 over here in the UK. Will be interesting to see if we get the savings though, it isn’t called “Rip-Off Britain” for nothing !

  2. This sucks for people who already have the iPod model(s) being reduced. And that’s a big price drop!
