Search for Files on Free File Hosts Using Bookmarklet

Free file sharing solutions like Rapidshare and Megaupload are popping out like weed these days, but none of these websites feature a decent search engine to search files hosted on their servers. Luckily, there is Google! And gHacks shows us a nifty bookmarklet which uses Google’s advance search parameters to search for files hosted with these file sharing sites with one click.

You can add this bookmark either by dragging and dropping this link into your browser’s bookmark toolbar or by creating a new bookmark for this location.

After adding the bookmarklet to your browser, simply click on it and a dialogue box asking for search query with pop up. Type the search query and click ok to search for files.

  • Nice man. This will definitely be a nice addition to my bookmarks. I use rapidshare very often.
  • BTW: You can also use direct queries for google

    site:rapidshare.com QUERY
    site:depositfiles.com QUERY
    site:ifolder.ru QUERY

But I recommend simply use torren trackers ;)
