Don’t you think it would be awesome, if we could somehow increase the stability of our Windows OS? Xtra Windows Stability is a free application which does exactly what you just read. It tries to improve the stability of Windows by forcing essential subsystems of Windows into separate process.
Users can choose between Desktop, Explorer, and Internet Explorer or choose to force all three subsystems into separate process. You’ll need to restart your computer after installing for the changes to take place. By forcing important subsystems into different process, you actually have a higher chance of recovering from a crash, if any one subsystem fails.
The only negative aspect is that keeping too many open folders or Internet Explorer windows will somewhat increases the memory consumption. Download Xtra Windows Stability from here.
