Services like Last.fm or Pandora allow you to listen to music, but they won’t let you download it. There are many ways to obtain music from these sites, and Free Music Zilla is one among them. It works for all popular music sites such as Imeem, Last.fm, Pandora, Myspace, iJigg, Radio.blog.club, Mog and many others.

Download music is as simple as it can get. No more struggling to find the download link in the page source. As soon as the music starts playing in your browser, Free Music Zilla will detect it and lists the link for download.

It can literally capture music from any streaming audio source (I tried YouTube, and it worked!). Surprisingly, the application comes superlight. It weighs just around 541 KB and consumes very little system resource when it’s downloading.

I’m not sure, if it’s legal to download music off these sites, but I’m certainly sure that the music industry will be pissed by doing so.

  1. I tried this yesterday and it works perfectly!

But niw that it has been features on TechCrunch and dugg by lots of people, I wonder if last.fm would take notcie and do something to stop it.

  2. @ Thilak : Thanks for the linkback :)

@ Raj : No, I don’t think last.fm can do anything about it. There have been many other tools like this. Because there is no commercial benefit for these guys, last.fm can’t even touch them.

  3. Nice, but i agree wit wat Raj said.
