Mozilla has launched live chat support for Firefox. The service is open for only a few hours per day, and they provide help for only Firefox related issues.
It’s staffer by a hand full of volunteers, who don’t work Mozilla. They are probably just fans who want to help other Firefox users.
In the recent past, Mozilla has been making every kind of effort to improve their quality and market share. This is an incredible development by folks from Mozilla to lure more mainstream users. Even though Firefox has an extensive knowledge base, and well populated forum, chat support was much needed because majority of mainstream users will have problems at some point or the other.
It’s really incredible because chat support is something which companies provide for their commercial software! This is just another nail in the coffin for Internet Explorer!
