Opt into New Features on Google Apps

Google accounts users get new features sooner than Google Apps users. Google follows this practice to make sure that their features are useful and stable before making it available to business, education, and organizational users. It really bothered me because I want to try new features as soon as they are announced! But now, there is an option to enable new features before they are rolled out to all Google Apps users.

If you check this option, your Google Apps account will get new features as they are rolled out to non-domain Google users. To opt into new features, you have to login to your GApps Dashboard, go to Domain Settings > General tab, check the box.

It didn’t enable new features immediately. I guess it takes couple of days for the new features to be enabled on our accounts. I’m so glad that they implemented this option. Now all I need is a tool to merge my Google account with my Google Apps account.
