As anticipated, Digg has launched the new "Images" section on their social news site. Along with the image section, Digg has refined their categorization by making topics remain consistent across all main categories. This means users can submit all three types of media (news, images and videos) across all categories. Users will find this extremely helpful because they can find related news across all major sections. Digg has also added a new category called "Lifestyle" which includes topics like Autos, Food & Drink, and Travel.
Digg images has a mosaic view which displays thumbnail images in a grid. They’ve adapted image recognition technology from Idée Inc to prevent duplicate images to be submitted.
Kevin hinted that a new comment system is on its way.

@ Marc
Sure! another distraction to my already hectic life.
Hi, Thilak.
I just came back from a long trip nearly a month. Happy that you are still kicking. Nice to see that your PR came back. Mine went down to “0″ from “4″, i just send google a reconsideration request. Hope they understand. Well i sold text link ads via TLA. Damn google monopolization. First you need good PR to get good link ads, but if you put text links ads in you site your PR drops. Now we all just can hope they have some mutual understanding.
Regards

They always try to show that they are doing great upgrades to their sites. What is the reality, I think they are forgetting that this is for people.
