Flickr has released a new version of their bulk image uploader (Uploadr v3.0 Beta). It’s available for both Windows and Mac, and includes all the goodness of the previous version plus more. The new version allows you to arrange photos, add title, tags, description, change privacy settings and assign sets for each photo while remaining offline (i.e before uploading).
The previous version allowed you to bulk upload, but you couldn’t reorder photos or add titles and description to your photo before its uploaded. Sometimes I had to upload my photos in multiple sessions because I wanted to change privacy settings and assign photos to different set, but now with the version, I can do it in a single shot, which is quite impressive.
Flickr Uploadr is now faster than ever. I was able to upload 4 photos worth 3.6MB within 3 minutes. The older version took a bit longer than that. One of the best features in version 3.0 is that you can create a build a new batch of images, while the old batch is being uploaded.
Keep in mind that Flickr Uploadr 3.0 is in beta, so you can expect to encounter some bugs here and there. You can download Flickr Uploadr 3.0 beta and report bugs from here.
