Meebo Adds Games into Chat

Cross-network instant messenger service, Meebo, has added games into chatting. When chatting with your buddies, you can bring up the games menu, pick any game and invite your buddy for the game. These games will be developed by third party developers using Meebo’s quasi-open API, where Meebo has to approve any application before being available to users.

At this point, Meebo has 20 games like chess, poker, puzzles and other clones of tiny games. Games are not earth-shattering, but it’s fun to play and chat simultaneously with your friends over instant messenger chat.

Meebo allows developers to monetize their application by placing their own ads into their application or go with Meebo to serve ads with 50/50 revenue sharing.
