Sometimes toolbars for browsers are handy, but they occupy some space in your browser and also eat some of your system resource. Occasionally, spammers use their crappy toolbars to infect your browser spywares, which in return will enable to do malicious stuff on your computer.

Firefox users are in luck because they only have to remove the appropriate add-on from the built add-on manager, but Internet Explorer users have to go through a lot of agony and remove these toolbars one-by-one. Worst of all, sometimes you won’t know which toolbars have been installed in your browser.

Fortunately, there is a freeware called ToolbarCop which lists all installed toolbars along with other elements such as Browser Helper Objects and Download Managers. ToolbarCop is an executable, which means you don’t need to install it in order to run it.

You can enable, disable or remove unwanted browser extensions. ToolbarCop turns on the backup mode by default. You can restore all the settings from the.reg file, just in case you screw up your browser.
