Google Integrates AdSense with FeedBurner

Google owned RSS feed burning service, FeedBurner, has now integrated AdSense into their dashboard. You can use FeedBurner to display AdSense ads between your blogs posts. Unfortunately, you still can’t show AdSense advertisements in your site feed.

AdSense advertisements will be shown only if there are no FeedBurner Ads for that location. If you have already added FeedFlare or FAN activated on your site, then you don’t need to edit your template to get started. Just login to FeedBurner, select your feed and go to the monetize tab to merge your existing AdSense account with FeedBurner.

I think this is a great addition to FeedBurner. Finally, publishers can make money out of those unused ad space left by FeedBurner ads when there is nothing to show. I’m pondering why Google didn’t add the ability to monetize our site feeds with AdSense?

  • I do see some feedburner ads in the feeds...
  • I kept trying to figure out how I could create a script to show AdSense ads when they were likely to pay better than FAN. Not I won't need to. Sweet.
  • Aseem Kishore: Sooner or later, it has to come. BTW, have you checked out FAN or Pheedo? Both allow you to insert ads in your feed
  • Pranjal: i don't display Ads on fresh posts. Check out posts older than 10 days
