Free VoIP Calls to US with Earth Caller

Earth Caller is a browser based VOIP service which allows you to make free calls to the US. You just have to go to Earthcaller.com (using Internet Explorer) and dial the number. The best part is that you don’t have to register or download anything, except for a one-time download of an ActiveX component.

The voice quality is exceptionally good and lets you to talk for hours and hours without paying anything. It doesn’t work with any other browser, except Internet Explorer, and that’s probably the only downside.

Some features like Directory Assistance, personalized contact list, inbound call support are yet to come. If you have ever missed calling any of your friends and family in the US, this is probably the best way to get in touch with them.

    Arrggh… ActiveX !! I hate that thing. I’m on a Linux and there’s no way I’m going back to Windows for this. I’m too fond of my tux.

    Anyway, guess there’s an extension for Firefox to open ‘IE-Only’ shyt.
