Microsoft just released Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta 2, which allows you to upload your photos to Yahoo!-owned Flickr Photo Sharing service.
You can select one or more photos and upload it to Flickr from Publish > More Services > Publish on Flickr. Just like any other Flickr tool, you need to authorize Windows Live Gallery before you can upload any photos to Flickr. Assuming that you already have Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta 1, you can get the new version by running Windows Update on your computer. In the list of available updates, you must see a “Critical Update for Windows Live Photo Gallery (KB943550)”.
Microsoft certainly took the step in the right direction by helping users upload their photos to other photo sharing services. Honestly, I’m a great Flickr fan, but I’ve seen a lot of people who use other services like Picasa Web Albums to deal with or share their photos.
Google must really learn from Microsoft here. I love using Google’s Picasa Photo Management Tool, but at the same time I love using Flickr to share my photos. And Picasa doesn’t let me to upload my photos to any other service, except Picasa Web Album.

Sreejith: Honestly, Windows Users are fairly high compared to Linux. This is the sole reason why I’m focused more on Windows. You can pick-up Linux and write on your blog, can’t you?

Lol. Yeah. I’m going to write a lot more tutorials on my blog. But, time is the greatest problem for me currently. Since entrance exams are nearing, I’ve a lot of revisions and studies to do.

Windows Live Photo Gallery will give pretty stiff competition to Picasa, I think. Its organizational features, in particular, are arguably a lot better. It seems to me to be a lot faster, when you have lots of photos. The panorama feature is very cool. And it will be closely married to Windows Movie Maker in the next version of that tool, so you can make movies of your photos with narration, effects, sound track, etc.
The comparison of WLPG and Picasa is interesting enough that I wrote a series of screencasts on them, basically taking you through all the major features of both programs. The introduction is here:
