Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Demo for PC

Just six months ago, Activision released the first trailer of Call of Duty 4. Ever since then, I had been waiting for the PC demo to come out, and finally it’s here! This action packed first person shooter games arms gamers with all the modern day weapons to fight in the world’s most deadly battle grounds.

Just to refresh your memories, here’s the first trailer of COD 4 released by Infinity Ward and Activision:

Required (minimum) Specs:

  • CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported
  • RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)
  • Hard Drive: 8GB of free space
  • Video card: NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800 Pro or better

Recommended Specs:

  • CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core or better
  • RAM: 1G for XP; 2G for Vista
  • Hard Drive: 8GB of free space
  • Video card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better

The demo version lets you try out a full level called "The Bog" from the single player campaign in the upcoming first person shooter game. The full game is all set to release on November 6th.

  • Nerd Forum: My Notebook sits in the recommended category, but yet the game doesn't work as smoothly as shown in the demo. That probably why people invest in gaming consoles like Xbox instead of upping the PC config!
  • The demo looks absolutely amazing. However, I wouldn't even try to run Call of Duty 4 on a PC with only 512mb of RAM. Sadly, my PC is in that category.
  • Although I don't get much time to play games, just yest saw a frnd play this demo. He downloaded and was playing the whole day yest instead of coding!! I went to his desk and tried my hand at the demo and I have to say it was addictive and fun!! I have played COD2 quite a lot and liked the experience of COD4
