As a student, I used to do lots of homework, but back then I was an alien to the web 2.0 world or atleast, we didn’t have web apps like Shvoong Homework. It’s a new web app designed to assist students of all ages to manage, organize and collaborate homework. The old fashioned way of writing using pen and paper are messy, and jumbled most of the times. With Shvoong Homework, students can type their homework, keep it organized and share it with a person, or a group of friends, or class… or maybe even friends from other school.

Other key features include "My Timetable", which lets students create a Timetable for their personal class schedules using an intuitive wizard. Timetable is linked with notebooks and students will receive email alerts for upcoming assignments and exams. Students can write their class notes, summaries, and exam preparation using "My Notebook" feature. A student can create any number of notebooks and each notebook can contain unlimited content.

Shvoong Homework is available in 30 languages including Hebrew, Hindi, Portuguese, Polish, Arabic, and Farsi. Here’s a short video tour of Shvoong Homework:

Some might dispute that students are losing the practice of writing, but I think it’s just advancement. Future generations will never have to use their pen and paper; everything will be done online using keyboard and mouse, and children will be keyboard ninjas.

Thanks for the tip, Roi Carthy

  1. This is amazing. I’ll start using it right away and your line was correct, future kids are going be keyboard ninjas! ;)

  2. Technology cannot replace everything…You can have educational software that complements your learning but not replace the practical things that you do with your hands, legs or mouth :)

What if there is a software to read out rhymes, poems or lessons…so does this mean that student never have to say their rhymes any more as the computer would do it on their behalf ?

  3. Nice one. Gotta try this out :D
