Earlier this week, Google rolled-out some much-needed features for their mobile version of Gmail. They’ve added configurable views like labels and other pages like Spam and Draft. Another major improvement includes checkboxes, which makes performing actions on multiple messages easier. Prior to this, you had to open a message inorder to archive or delete it. Now you can select checkboxes and perform actions likes - archive, delete, report as spam, and add a label, star or mark as read for multiple messages in a single shot.

From now onwards, if your friend’s message is stuck up as Spam, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to rescue him while on the road. Probably the best way to use Gmail on mobile phone is by installing their Java application. I’ve used it innumerable times and find it really handy.

I love the fact that a Verizon advertisement is on the same page as this. Verizon’s phones are so locked down, you can’t even touch the phone. I know, because I’ve owned one for years.
