Shorten and Password Protect URLs with HideLinks

Lock and Key Companies often read emails sent by their employees for security reasons. This may not be favorable for all, but there is nothing much that can be done to stop this. However, you can prevent your boss from spying on the URLS (links) shared in your email by password protecting them.

HideLinks is a new service which takes your URL and locks it down with the password of your choice. It will also compress your long URLs, so that you can share it easily. HideLinks can also be used to prevent unauthorized access to your bookmarks.

Try using HideLinks with Pastebin. It can be a killer combination to send emails from your office, without letting your boss read it. I read about HideLinks on DI

    Hi there,

Great found! I'd say, use it with spambox.us and you boss won't even know to who you send it.

Spambox.us has an firefox add-on, verry easy to use, klick the icon, fill in the recipient's email and ctrl-v in the recepient's box of your e-mail client...

    Greats,

  • Thilak, I am failing to understand the real value of it.First if I don't want the company to know my URLs, I wouldn't be sharing it over the corporate mail server.Am I missing something here?

may be it is useful for hiding bookmarks. But then t would become too difficult for me to find out my hidden urls as the number of bookmarks increase. In any case I only bookmark sites that I can access in my office PC.
