Apple might soon start renting movies on their iTunes Store. They have already been selling movies on iTunes, but it wasn’t quite successful. Unlike music, majority people prefer watching movies just once, so renting a movie would be a better option than purchasing it.
The problem reporting system in iTunes reveals Apple’s upcoming plans for a rental service. If you view your account purchase history, click to report a problem and then click on any purchase, you’ll find all problem reporting option for rented movie like "DidNotRecieve", "AccidentalPurchase", "ContentQuality", and more.
With Apple TV and new line-up of iPods capable of playing movies, it makes complete sense for Apple to start renting movies. It will be even better for consumers, if Apple comes up with some subscription service like what Netflix or Blockbuster offers!

$2.99 for a movie I can “keep” for 30 days I’d rather spend the extra 10 and go with netflix, and watch countless movies.
