MyBlogLog will be migrating to Yahoo IDs

Eight month after being acquired by Yahoo!, MyBlogLog will soon be replacing their login system with Yahoo IDs (Just like Flickr). Existing users will be able to merge their MyBlogLog account with their Yahoo ID and keep their current name, use Yahoo! name or change the nickname completely. For instance, you are Joe, but there is already another Joe on MyBlogLog, you can still have the nickname Joe. You can change your nicknames any number of times, just like how you change your avatar image.

Using Yahoo ID future increases the integration possibilities of MyBlogLog with other Yahoo! Properties. Downside, naturally, is that you’ll have to re-upload your avatar image because they’ll be using Yahoo Image Uploader to make your images look better and load faster. This should also speed-up the Recent Reader widgets.

The migration is expected to complete later this week.
