Apple renamed the video iPod as “iPod Classic” and beefed up its storage capacity to 80GB and 160GB. The sixth generation iPod Classic is same as the new iPod nano, with the same all metal anodized aluminum and polished steel enclosure and cover flow interface, but with a jumbo hard drive instead of flash based storage.
The new iPod classic is even thinner and holds upto 40 hours of music playback and seven hours of video playback in the 160GB model, and up to 30 hours of music playback and five hours of video playback in the 80GB model. It is available in two colors ? silver and black (no white). The 80GB model is priced at $249 and 160GB at $349.
