8GB iPhone now available for just $399

With the goal of selling one million iPhones by the end of September, Apple chief executive, Steve Jobs announced the lowering of price of the 8GB iPhone from $599 to just $399 with immediate effect. The 4GB iPhone model, which couldn’t live upto the expected sales figure will now be discontinued, and will be sold only until supplies last.

8GB iPhone model is immediately available for $399 through Apple’s retail and online store (which is being updated at the moment) and AT&T’s retail outlet.
