Unlike Opera, Firefox stops the page from loading whenever “save this password” dialogue appears. This hurts users in two ways. Firstly, you won’t know if you’ve enter wrong credentials accidentally. Second, it consumes time, as it has to wait for the user’s action. This drawback has been fixed in the latest Firefox 3 nightlies.
Instead of the popup dialogue box used to ask users whether to save password or not, they have implemented a slim, unobtrusive bar at the top which doesn’t hurt your browsing experience. See the screenshot below:

Another new improvement seen in the latest nightly is the bar which prevents untrusted sites from installing extensions. In earlier versions, you had to manually whitelist the site and then proceed with the installing, but now you can temporarily allow the site to install with just one click.
I appreciate Mozilla’s efforts in improving the browsing experience for users. Let’s wait and see what they’ll add in future nightlies.
