Mobile handset manufactures are pretty much stunted by Apple’s iPhone, which is exactly why most companies are trying to get closer and closer to the iPhone in-terms of features and design. Even the world’s largest mobile manufacture, Nokia, didn’t hesitate from copying iPhone.
During Nokia’s GoPlay event, they gave a short sneak-peak at their future model which resembles a lot with the iPhone. Here’s a video of the concept phone:
From the video, it looks like an exact iPhone ripper along with the accelerometer which changes the display orientation, as you rotate the phone. Nokia’s Executive VP & General Manager of Multimedia said, “If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride”. It makes complete sense; after all, copying is not always a bad thing to do, unless they don’t add anything new.
The device will arrive into retail market at some point next year. Hopefully, the device will be cheaper and better than the iPhone, but won’t the market stagnate with iPhone-like handsets by next year?

Nokia’s music service stood strong against Apple’s iPhone. Now copying its same features and design. Does Nokia wants to prove who is superior?

Geez am sure every company is jealous of the limelight Apple got into for their phone. Theres no reason why everybody mimicking iPhone. Smart phones got themed to iPhone and now Nokia is fully recreating it. Couldn’t believe it when i realized that Google was not far behind in this crazy race.

Well, if its Symbian or Linux, then they got my sale. I won’t throw money for pathetic smudgy piece of touchscreen **** if it doesn’t allow 3rd party apps (the way iPhone is). Hope they release it fast.
