Switching from one email provider to another was always a painful thing to do, but Yahoo! has partnered with a service called TrueSwitch to make this process completely painless. You can now transfer your mails, contacts and calendar from Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, Comcast, Yahoo!, Cox, Earthlink, MSN, Netscape, Netzero, Juno, CS, Optonline, and Worldnet to Yahoo! Mail for free.
This video explains how simple it is to transfer your old mail account to Yahoo! Mail:
You can try it here

Don’t know why they did such partnership because many people including me are looking to migrate my mails from Yahoo! Mail’s inbox to Gmail, not to get my Gmail or any other many stuff to Yahoo!

Wow its really a nice service but thing is true switch allows only yahoo.com and yahoo.co.uk not yahoo.co.in. fortunately i use yahoo.com

Now this is a great service. I still use one of my hotmail accounts I had made in 1994 (my first email address). Its a funny combination of alphabets and numbers and looks really bad. But it was always such a pain to move….

I recently started using Yahoo mail after a long time and i have to say that its much better then Gmail & Hotmail. I am in a process of moving my service provider so this might just come in handy for me
