Yes Howard, as you suggested the best solution is to kick the Adobe’s bloatware (& spyware http://www.google.co.in/search.....p;ie=utf-8 ) out and use Sumatra or Foxit reader.
this is exactly what i need, users at my work have complained adobe reader going slow
