SkyDrive Online Storage from Microsoft

liveskydrive Microsoft’s online storage solution has been renamed from Windows Live Folders to Windows Live SkyDrive. With a fresh new look and feel, SkyDrive provides upto 500 MB of online storage and allows you to conveniently upload your files using the drag and drop interface.

Other notable features include thumbnail images for your image files and the ability to embed your files into any web page or blog post. In short words, SkyDrive is like having your personal hard disk on the internet or the cloud. You’ll need a Windows Live ID to access your SkyDrive folders.

Check out the video preview of SkyDrive in action:

I’m not quite convinced with 500 MB of storage space. Anything less than 2 GB is unthinkable for me. What do you feel about SkyDrive? Tell me through comments.

I like the name, but I don’t think it sounds like a storage space.

And 500MB? These days people are file sharing GB everyday, so 500MB is nothing….they’ll need more storage space than that…

I have been keeping a close look on Microsoft products since the beginning and according to me this is the product that will help MS to gain its popularity

I agree with the above comments. I really like the name SkyDive, is sounds real Web 2.0!

I agree with you 500mb isn’t a lot, or should I say isn’t enough. Couldn’t even hold my Digital Camera gallery in that.
