in some aspects, gmail is surprisingly disappointing, – eg, it doesn’t show the size of each message, for the lofty crap that you’ll never need to delete “another message”! now, my gmail has reached its limit and google is dangling a 20 dlrs price tag before my eye, trying to trick me into buying more space for my gmail, while yahoo is now offering unlimited space… sometimes i cannot believe how stupid and arrogant the gmail team are except they did a really good job in fighting spam…

9 GB Gmail, wow thats great news, but I guess no one will be using it completely.

Yeah, but doesn’t that seem a bit pointless? I mean, I can go out and buy a stack of DVDs and burn my songs and movies on there, and that costs way less.

Now people use email ids to store songs movies etc. for them 2 GB is nothing.

Huge 9Gbs , it will be too HOT for me.. I never finished using my 2GB free space at Gmail !!
I am still in regular 2 Gb

I have to agree with Rishi on that one.. It really is useless to sell space for email.. but then it is good for the power users..

also yahoo’s unlimited storage is only a marketing gimmick aimed at getting more users.. 2.5GB is enough for anybody..

Google seems to work useless now. Yahoo’s storage strategy is good, as you mentioned Flickr gives unlimited for just 24$ a year where PicasaWeb gives some 200MB for $12 or something.

I am currently using 109 MB (3%) of your 2886 MB in which i get some 50 emails a day so 9GB will be useless and also if Gmal want to compete with YahooMail, they should not sell space in mail account, I don’t think anyone will buy it.
