Yes, I have seen it in google labs around a year ago, but they did not implemented it. Probably they must have a reason of not implementing it.

Yes, google does waste quite a lot of manpower, and skilled and expensive at that!

but hey, some of their best, like gmail have come from that free time, so maybe it is worth for them.

what about the other google stuff? i am sure that there are atleast 100 high quality projects at googleplex, which are pet projects of engineers who develop them in “20% time”. yet, very few ever see the sun.

Going through comparison.

But really, its like Apple vs MS, where apple invents, microsoft markets and gets successful. google invents, yahoo brings it up to a lot of hype.

i still cant understand why google puts so many of their cute projects in the shelf, when they should be out in glory. search suggest is one of them.
