Add to Google Reader, Bloglines, Netvibes

The browser based version of Google Talk has now added Group Chat feature which lets you invite other people to join your conversation. You can initiate group chat by clicking on the “Group Chat” button during normal chat conversation.

This new feature will work only on Google Talk Gadget, if you are trying to invite someone who is using other client (including Google Talk for Windows); he’ll get a link to the browser based version of Google Talk.

Looks like Google is neglecting the Windows version of Google Talk. Hopefully, this feature will be implemented in Google Talk for Windows as well.

  3. I prefer browser based version of google talk, becuase it take less resources. Although features are less in that. Its good google is adding more features in browser based version

  4. Yeah, they seem to be not caring about the desktop version.
    Hoping to get smiley and group chat support in the desktop client.
