You’ve just submitted a story to Digg and you’re curious to know whenever someone diggs or comments on your submission. Most probably, you would keep refreshing the digg page every now and then, which insanely kills your productivity.
Alternatively, Gary Carstensen has created a Digg API based flash app called Diggwatcher, which keeps an eye on your Digg page and audibly notifies you whenever someone Diggs, comments or the story gets popular. You may configure different sounds by pointing to any mp3 hosted on the internet.
Diggwatcher should certainly get into your bookmarks, if you actively submit stories to digg.

IMHO, this is the most useful tool built on the Digg API.

Wow. Really nice idea. Perhaps Mrbabyman can use this with his frequency of posting stories. But, I think this can be pushed to its edges.
Why not stick in a user password field and when we login, we get details of multiple submitted stories. Like a one stop check for Digg. And, maybe Netscape and Slashdot can be integrated. No limits to the creativity. Anyway, thanks for sharing this.

DW speed is really too low,
using over 10 min to check a site that have almost 1000 backlinks,
