Music is an unavoidable addiction, maybe that’s the reason behind keeping a Media Player window minimized all the time. With MXPLAY, it’s a completely different experience. It can render your music library in a 3D audiospace with impressive audio quality. Here’s a small list of things MXPLAY can do:
3D music – We all have different musical tastes – loud, soft, more reverb, less reverb, more bass, etc.
The cool thing about MXPLAY is that it allows each user to change how they listen to each song by manipulating the music in a 3D environment. Some people may find that they can tweak the music to sound better; some people may not be able to tell the difference. But this feature is what sets it apart from the iTunes and windows Media Players.
Video mashups – We can go to YouTube or Google Video, grab a video, and mix in your own audio. Basically create your own music videos! It is an exciting feature if you like to “do†create stuff.
Integrated browser – MXPLAY has a built in web browser that helps you to find music. Just try surfing to one of the blogs linked on MXPLAY home page or search for music using their search box – immediately a list of the freely available music on that blog or website will pop up. It makes it easy to find new music and add it to your music library.
Playlist sharing with streaming audio – We can create a playlist of the streaming music you find and share it with other people.
Plug-ins – You can get plug-ins, similar to Firefox extensions which adds new features to the player, currently there are very few plug-ins like last.fm, MP3tunes and Nintendo WiiMote.
Pros:
- 3D Audiospace
- Integrated Web Search
- Shared Playlist
Cons:
- In some cases, MXPLAY fails to install.
- No CD ripping functionality
- No ID3 tag editing functionality
I think this is what audio player will turn in the future. Let’s expect Microsoft to copy and bring this to the masses. MXPLAY is free!
