Time passes by so quickly! Just six months ago Firefox 2.0 was born and today Mozilla is officially ending the support for Firefox 1.5. Most users immediately upgraded to Firefox 2.0 to experience new browser enhancements like in-line spell checker and native session restore, while others (nearly 40% of users) decided to stick with the old version. Maybe users running on older hardware find it difficult to run Firefox 2.0.

Existing Firefox 1.5.x users won’t like it, but ending the support for older versions will save lots of resources which can be used to improve the upcoming versions of Firefox. If you are still using the older version of Firefox, this is the best time to upgrade.

  1. But there will always be some people who are not savvy enough may stick with the old builds.

  2. I’m using 1.5.0.x becaue I just like what it does… I think it work better on my 3 year old laptop than Firefox 2.0
